He is rattled by his meeting with a forthright American poet. The film is knowledgeable and moving, with Hopkins in top form and Winger his match. The other performers are also excellent. This was filmed on location at Oxford. Cast includes Richard Attenborough, Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, Edward Hardwick, Michael Denison, Joseph Mazzello, John Wood, Robert Fleming, and Peter Howell. (130 minutes, 1993)

Trading Mom: It's about three siblings who couldn't stand their mom. Spacek cast a spell which makes her and all memory of her vanish. Here is a flat and inanimate story with meager production values. Cast includes Sissy Spacek, Anna Chlumsky, Aaron Michael Metchik, Asher Metchik, Maureen Stapleton, and Merritt Yohnka. (82 minutes, 1994)

Deep Impact: With a comet on a collision course for Earth. A decision is made to send a space ship out to intercept the comet, and "seed" it with nuclear bombs. The explosion splits the comet in two, with the smaller part still heading toward Earth. With a devastating impact looming, it is learned that 1 million Americans will be chosen by lottery to go underground into a network of caves built to survive the impact, and the following sequence of disasters.

The Delinquents: Intriguingly terrible exploitation drama in regards to a fine boy who becomes tied up in a street gang since lady friend is too young to go steady. Cast includes Tom Laughlin, Peter Miller, Richard Bakalyan, Rosemary Howard, and Helene Hawley. (75 minutes, 1957)

Spellbound: Riveting story of psychiatrist Bergman trying to expose Poke's hang-ups; Dali fantasy patterns, industrious and Oscar winning Miklos Rozsa helps Hitchcock build another brilliant film. Cast includes Alfred Hitchcock, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Poke, Leo G. Carroll, John Emery, Michael Chekhov, Wallace Ford, Rhonda Fleming, Bill Goodwin, and Regis Toomey. (111 minutes, 1945)

South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut: Our dynamic four are in top form in the first feature length film of the TV series. There is a new movie at the theater, a Terrence and Phillips film, and the boys are off to see it. When they arrive at the theater they can't get in because of the R rating. They overcome this obstacle by paying off a street drunk to get the tickets for them. This is the boy's first real intense introduction to foul language. They leave the movie fully trained in the new words, and use them whenever they can. This leads to outrage from the parents. Since Terrence and Phillip are Canadian, this ends with the US and Canada going to war.

Dracula: Gloomy retelling of the Bram Stoker classic, with Langella's esteemed Broadway characterization lost among hip terror gimmicks and ill-imagined changes in the original tale. The movie was filmed in England. Cast includes Blunt Langella, Laurence Olivier, Donald Pleasence, Kate Nelligan, Trevor Eve, Diane Duvitski, and Tony Haygarth. (109 minutes, 1958)

The Great Lie: Brent weds Davis after breaking off an engagement with Astor. Astor is carrying his child. He is lost in a plane crash, leaving Davis and pregnant Astor to battle each other and all the complications. Cast includes Mary Astor, Bette Davis, George Brent, Lucile Watson, Hattie McDaniel, Permit Mitchell, and Jerome Cowan. (107 minutes, 1941)
